Megan earned her cosmetology license and joined Von Kekel Salon in Cary in 2002. From there, she pursued advanced training with Aveda, studying in New York, Washington D.C., Aveda’s headquarters in Minneapolis, and London. For more than two decades, that training has shaped her approach: a balance of the season’s newest trends with a lasting respect for classic, timeless style.

Megan loves color and cutting equally, and her attention to detail shows in every finished look. She listens first. For Megan, listening isn’t just how she gets a cut right, it’s how she builds the trust and lasting friendships that keep guests coming back.

Opening Larkspur Salon Spa turned a lifelong dream into reality: a salon built entirely on her own terms.

Lauren, Salon Coordinator

Originally from Georgia, Lauren transplanted to Raleigh in 2012 with her husband. Lauren has been the Salon Spa Coordinator at Larkspur for 10 years as of June, 2025. With a long background in retail management she appreciates the change of scenery of being in the salon atmosphere. Our resident pink-haired lady enjoys watching the ever changing beauty industry and seeing everyone adapt to new styles. Lauren has a hand in many aspects of the salon from education, event planning, and occasionally even a salon assistant.

When she’s not at work you can find her cheering on her husband at one of his many sports, at home with her dogs, or at a garden center with her best friends.

Ashley, Master Stylist

"I love being a part of someone's transformation, whether it be color or a cut. I want clients to feel their best before they leave."

A new transplant to Raleigh, Ashley moved here from Charleston SC where she did hair for 5 years on Daniel Island. She attended continuing education with Davines and went to New York for Milbon and trained in head massage techniques and treatments for scalp health. Ashley has a true passion in the industry to continue to grow as a stylist. In her off time she loves being in the country or on the water fishing with her husband and daughter.

Anna, Senior Stylist

Anna comes to us from Memphis, Tennessee but is originally from Ukraine and speaks Ukraine and Russian fluently. She graduated from Gould’s Cosmetology Academy in 2013 and started working at Gould’s Beauty Salon in Memphis directly after. In February of 2018 she moved to Raleigh, North Carolina to be closer to her family. For Anna, her job is not just about cutting and coloring hair; she enjoys giving someone the style that captures their personality and lifestyle. Anna loves outdoor activities, cooking, photography, and fashion.

Carli, Senior Stylist

Carli comes to us all the way from Arizona, where she was born and raised. She did all her training in Arizona and is ready to bring a little of the West to North Carolina!

Carli has enjoyed doing hair behind the chair for the last 20 years. Being the oldest of 4 sisters, doing hair has been her whole life! She takes great care in preserving the quality of her client’s hair and tries to make a memorable and relaxing experience for each person. Carli enjoys learning new styles and techniques as well as incorporating timeless looks we all know and love.

Morgan, Senior Stylist

Joining her family in Raleigh, Morgan comes to us all the way from Binghamton NY. She studied cosmetology at Broome-Tioga BOCES in New York. Morgan has loved doing hair and nails from a young age and embraces continuing her career and education with Larkspur! When Morgan is not behind the chair you can find her deep in a good book!

“Seeing a guest’s rejuvenated skin after a facial brings me a new energy to live daily life. And beautiful, well polished nails make me smile whenever I see them.”

Young came to Raleigh from South Korea in 2003 to start her career as an esthetician. Her career as a dental hygienist in South Korea helped her to learn compassion, dexterity and interpersonal skills that she transferred into her new career in esthetics.

Young’s favorite part of skin care is facial massage. She believes it can help in the delay of aging and also rids the body of toxins by stimulating pressure points in the face and can be a relaxing experience. Young feels that taking care of your skin not only provides a better outside, but also supports an individual’s self esteem and confidence.

Lily, New Talent Stylist

Introducing Lily: Our Newest North Carolina Native!

Hailing from Raleigh, Lily is the latest member of our team who proudly represents North Carolina! Following in her mother’s footsteps, she pursued a career as a hair stylist and received her training at Mitchell’s in Cary. With a lifelong passion for all things beauty, she can’t envision herself doing anything else! When she’s not at the salon, Lily enjoys cherishing moments with her family and friends.

This busy mom of 3 kids and 2 dogs is always on the go! Between managing her kid’s busy schedule and taking care of our guests at the salon, Kim brings the best, attentive energy to each person. Kim not only enjoys spending time with her children, she loves to be creative in the kitchen!
