We hope you are all enjoying your summer and doing your best to beat the heat! We are so proud to have officially reached a milestone of 10 years serving the most amazing guests in this wonderful community. It has been such an honor and we are so grateful for your support. We have a few changes that will go into effect July 17 including a price increase as well as some restructuring of our service menu. This is a lot of information but also extremely informative and everyone will want to read its entirety to avoid any surprises at your next visit!

We all know that the price of everything has continued to climb, unfortunately with no clear end in sight. We have felt the effects of incurring increases from Aveda and other suppliers, but we wanted to make thoughtful and impactful changes so as a result we’ve not passed these increases along before now. We have invested the time and intentionally researched our industry and competitors to ensure we remain current and competitive.

In alignment with much of our industry, we are moving away from “one size fits all” haircut pricing. This style of structure does not consider timing specific to each unique head of hair. Pricing is now based specifically on YOUR hair’s length, density, technicality and style. This allows us the ability to tailor each appointment time specifically to you and your hair’s needs. While anything new is always an adjustment, I also feel it will make perfect sense.

Foiling and blonding services were previously priced as “a la carte” services (foil + toner + treatment…) which understandably leads to confusion. Pricing now includes a toner or gloss as well as a bond building strengthening treatment. This ensures every foil/blonding guest receives ALL recommended steps necessary to achieve desired results while maintaining the integrity of the hair and longevity of color. This isn’t a significant shift as most already receive those services what will now be all inclusive for price transparency and quality control.

Lastly, our spa menu has been simplified to feature enhanced versions of our most requested services. There are no longer “express” nail or facial service options as these do not allow adequate time for our providers to deliver an excellent level of service which compromises the quality of results.

As a luxury brand we are continually striving to enhance your experience with us while delivering an excellent service. We look forward to introducing our Smashbox makeup line and bringing back our beloved makeup touchups to those who have missed playing with new colors. Earth Month

Join us on April 26th from 11-3 for our 4th annual Cut-A-Thon! For a $30 cash donation we will be offering dry haircuts, chair massages, and mini facials. For a $10-15 donation we will be offering facial waxing.

Why a Cut-A-Thon? 
Every year in April we follow the footsteps of Aveda to raise funds and awareness for clean water efforts around the world. We are partnering with charity: water again, Aveda’s global water partner. Did you know that there are 785 million people in the work without access to clean water? The majority live in isolated rural areas walking an average of 3.7 miles to collect water for their families. Not only does walking for water keep children out of school or take up time that parents could be using to earn money, but the water often carries diseases that can make everyone sick. Access to clean water means education, income and health – especially for women and kids.

How else can you help? 
Our goal this year is to raise $3500 in donations. Beginning March 17th, you can round up your change or add a dollar to your transaction when you check out at the salon. In addition, we will have some amazing raffle prizes to give away! Raffle tickets are 3 for $5, 7 for $10 or 15 for $20. We will have baskets filled with Aveda products, swag, gift cards and other products from local businesses around Wake Forest and Raleigh, alongside some smaller prizes of Aveda products and samples.

Larkspur Salon Spa is very excited to announce our partnership with BLOOMHERE of Raleigh, NC. In a continued effort to pay forward our success and gratitude in our amazing community we have partnered with an organization that aligns so perfectly with the core of our mission. BLOOMHERE is a nonprofit organization which provides women survivors of abuse, addiction, prostitution and trafficking a safe place to live and the space and resources to heal. They support the well being of women so they may nurture their own resilience, while providing opportunities for them to grow into a life of economic independence through their justice enterprise.

Larkspur will be donating our time and services to these ladies throughout the year as well as participating in their fundraising events. We are excited and humbled to be able to work with the ladies of BLOOMHERE, to help them grow and pamper them along the way.

Price Increase

We are quickly approaching our 6th Anniversary and want to thank each of you for your loyalty and dedication to our company. We understand that you have so many choices available to you and for that reason we continually strive to improve our quality of service and experience for our valued guests.

We are writing to inform you of a price increase that will go into effect on July 1, 2019. Larkspur has refrained from a price increase for the past 4 years despite the annual increase to us from Aveda and other vendors. While we have kept this increase as minimal as possible, it is necessary for our pricing to reflect the rise in costs of goods to allow us to maintain the level of service our clients expect.

Earth Month 2019

Many of us have no idea what it’s like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink — even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I’m looking for anyone who can help me.

Diva for a Day

We had the pleasure of hosting Ambrosia, a cancer survivor, for her Diva For A Day spa day in September. The Diva For A Day program reached out to us with their nominee, Ambrosia, to come enjoy a day of relaxation and beauty. She got to indulge with a facial, massage, manicure, pedicure, blowout and makeup application. She has a beautiful soul and we were so thrilled to be able to give her all our attention and make her feel like a Diva for a day!
